To create a contour map in Civil 3D, follow these steps:

  1. Open Civil 3D and select the desired drawing or create a new one.
  2. In the Home tab, select the “Surface” drop-down menu and click on the “Create Surface” option.
  3. In the “Create Surface” dialogue box, select the desired surface type and click “OK”.
  4. In the “Surfaces” tab, click on the “Contour” drop-down menu and select “Create Contours”.
  5. In the “Create Contours” dialogue box, select the surface on which you want to create contours and specify the contour interval and any other desired settings. Click “OK” to generate the contours.

Note: These steps are a general guide and may vary slightly depending on the version of Civil 3D you are using. It’s always a good idea to consult the software’s documentation for more specific instructions.
