They offer a lighter weight alternative to the GST20 range. The wooden legs are covered by a heat-shrunk polymer. This protects the wood even in conditions of high humidity. Being extremely resistant to the environment, the GST05 tripods can remain set-up for long periods in all weather conditions. This is vital for GPS applications for which these tripods are recommended.
